Arranging a Funeral

Making Funeral Arrangements

We believe every funeral service should be personalised and encapsulate the life you are remembering. This can be achieved in many ways. We can adapt the funeral arrangements to suit every requirement, need and budget.

Religions and Traditions

Whether you are thinking of a cremation or burial, you can choose if you would like religion in the service or not. We work with a close group of professional officiants both religious, non-religious and somewhat in between. We cater for all faiths and religions at Gaunts of Stourport. We understand the many customs and practices of various religions and ethnic heritages and we will work with you to fulfil your requirements.

Music and Media

Music tells a story through rhythm and words. That could be a favourite song, an old classic, something soft and reflective or something up-beat and enlightening. Most of the local crematorium’s have a media system available to play your choice of music.

We can create a moving Visual Tribute which is a montage of photos set to a piece of music which is then played at the funeral service. The funeral service can even be recorded and downloaded onto a USB stick or broadcasted live anywhere in the world via a secure link. We can also arrange for live performances should you wish, ranging from a piper, a soloist, a choir or a band.

Announcing The Funeral

As we move into a more digital era, a lot of people choose to use our free digital platform to send our funeral announcements to family and friends. Or if you’d prefer we can help write and send an obituary notice to a newspaper of your choice to let people know of your loved ones passing and funeral details.

Capturing The Funeral

The funeral day itself can often be overwhelming and afterwards seem a bit blurry. We can ensure you remember everyone who attended by providing a condolence book, listing the name of mourners, or even arranging a videographer to capture the day and create a beautiful everlasting memory of your loved ones final journey.

Donations

We can handle donations on your behalf by providing a locked donation box on the day of the funeral where friends and family can leave any contributions or cards.

After the funeral, any donations will be counted and where possible we will provide you with a list of donors. Approximately two weeks after the funeral we will contact you to ascertain if there are any further contributions to be made. We will then forward the donations onto the charity, or you may collect them and deliver them to the charity yourself.

Order of Service

An order of service booklet can be designed to be as personal as you’d like. They can contain photo’s, poems, bible verses or messages as well as the running order of the service. They form a beautiful keepsake and create an ever lasting memory of your loved one.
